Each To Their Own

Each to their own, you can like what you like and I shall like what I like. Get over it. It’s the way it is. You are never going to change a person’s opinion about something unless you threaten them and even then they will secretly feel that way no matter what you do. Maybe we need to start appreciating each other for the fact that we are all different rather than trying to sway each other round to thinking or liking the same thing.
Does no one ever think about the fact that if we all liked the same things and had the same opinions then we would never have anything to talk about because we would be clones? A bit of tolerance and open-mindedness wouldn’t go amiss in this world; it ought to be law to accept people as they are.
It all goes back to sodding religion, the way some strong Christians used to feel the need to force people in to their religion. We are better than that. We are in the 21st bloody century and we need to get a grip on what is important and it isn’t arguing with a person because they are different to us.

If I said I agreed with everything you wrote there Charlotte I would be a complete liar. I'd like to accept everyone for what they are but I just don't think thats how the world goes round. I'm not a biggot or racist or anything but what it comes down to with me is being able to belong somewhere with similar people and theres always going to be people that you cant accept because they dress differently or have a different musical taste, which may sound petty but thats just how life works for me.
First of all good rant well done charlotte for being the firts one to have a go.
Im all for letting people be what they want to be but it seems to me what ur talking about or trying to, is all too idealistic.
If someonr likes somthing that u dont theres always going to be aruments and tension. Its what makes life interesting.
Why not try and sway people into the way u think. Going back to religion i had the jahova witnesses (excuse the spelling)
round the other day preaching to me about a paradise, a world where theres no war or conflict and its just round the courner if we all get along. They told me of all these proficies that have come true and things to come.
I respect them for that but it doesnt mean i like it.
The worlds not perfect and i like it that way, so get used to it.
That did sound a bit harsh but I know where you're coming from.
guys, diversity is great. otherwise there would be lots of ross's, lots of ben's and lots of chris's running around. More importantly lots of me, and thats just plain freaky! didnt your mothers ever tell you you were unique?? CHERISH IT
Huh? Let people argue their point. It's great that something like this has sparked people to convey their ideals/thoughts. We need more of this.
